Last updated: July 28, 2026

Hammanadata ("we," "us," "our") operates a web and mobile platform that lets users buy internet data bundles, VTU airtime, pay electricity bills, subscribe to TV services (DSTV, GOTV, StarTimes), and convert airtime to cash. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our platform, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Wallet Funding & Payments

Wallet funding can be done through bank transfer, bank deposit, QR code, or card payment. When you fund your wallet via card or bank transfer, your payment details are processed by our payment processing partners. We do not store your full card number or banking PIN on our servers; sensitive payment credentials are handled directly by our licensed payment gateway providers in line with industry security standards.

We keep a record of your wallet balance and transaction history so that you can track your funding and purchases, and so we can resolve any disputes or failed transactions.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

5. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You should also protect your account by keeping your login details confidential and not sharing your password or OTPs with anyone.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and transaction information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards, to comply with legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take steps to delete or anonymise it.

7. Cookies & Tracking

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the site may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

8. Your Rights & Choices

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12 below.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as payment gateways or our social media pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
